Ceremony
The ceremony will be held outdoors at the fire pit amphitheater of the Point Bonita YMCA with western views of the Pacific Ocean, starting at 4:30 pm. After the ceremony we will move to the dining hall, across the driveway, for a cocktail hour and appetizers with live music from local Cuban band, Pasión Habanera. Dinner, dancing and festivities will follow.
Weather
Wear something festive with layers for warmth. October is one of the best months for weather in the San Francisco Bay Area, but wind, fog and rain are all possible. The ceremony will be outdoors, in the firepit amphitheater, and then we will move into the YMCA dining hall and get the party started in there. Dinner
Appetizers and dinner will be provided in the YMCA dining hall with views of the Pacific Ocean. The YMCA kitchen staff has been hard at work on a delicious Latin inspired menu sourced from local and organic ingredients.
Music
The group, Pasión Habanera will perform live music during the cocktail hour. Pasión Habanera plays traditional salon music from Cuba, evoking the classical melodies one might hear from a colonial terrace in Old Havana. This traditional music, including boleros and “trovas cubanas,” reflects the nostalgic 1950's era. After dinner we will enjoy dancing to a wide range of popular musical styles. Come ready to dance (lessons not required).
